Halibut 2016 Reunion

September 18-22, 2016

Bremerton, Washington

Time fast approaches for another Halibut Reunion. The Reunion Committee has been working on your behalf to give you a great 2016 reunion. This reunion has a theme and that is to get everyone to come and participate. That includes family members of current shipmates and families from departed shipmates. We must realize that we are not getting any younger and every reunion there are fewer of us. I know that some of you who have not attended a reunion will wonder will anyone remember me and will I know people. Well I can guarantee that you have been missed at past reunions and that you will know lots of people and you will make someones day by attending. We are all shipmates and we miss you whether you know it or not. We seem to have poor attendance from the officers and it would be great to see many of you again. You can see how you molded many of these young sailors into great people. You would be surprised to the life lasting effect you had on us. We can’t tell you if you don’t attend.

We have many great things to do at this reunion but the best thing is seeing each other. Some of the other things we will be doing. Going to our own COB’s ( Mac and Janell Mc Mannamy)bar for a night of fun. We will have the opportunity to see all the hard work that has been done on the Halibut Archives and where they are displayed. You may also choose to take a ferry ride to Seattle, much like you did in your younger days. Then there is the great Halibut meeting to decide who will stand up for the next reunion. Last will be a great farewell evening with a great guest speaker, and a wonderful fun filled auction and raffle. (Bring your Items for the auction). But again the best part is seeing every one.

Do us one favor and forward all emails and correspondence to all of your shipmates just in case we have missed someone. We will be starting with an email with people we want to see please add to it and forward it on.

Help us make this a great reunion with your presence.

Warren (Mac) McMannamy
